Danieli to supply two more mills to India's Rungta Mines

Italian equipment manufacturer Danieli will supply two high-speed rebar and wire rod rolling mills to the Indian company Rungta Mines. The equipment will be installed at the Dhenkanal and Kamanda factories in Odisha state.
The declared production capacity of the factories is 1 million tons per year, 8-40 mm diameter rebar and 5.5-20 mm diameter wire rod.

It was stated that the factories will be equipped with modern Danieli development technologies. For example, the Danieli Rod Quenching (QTB) annealing system, which is said to significantly reduce the number of potential defects. In addition, the factory design provides an advanced system for preparing finished products for delivery and a system that reduces vibration during production.

In March 2023, Rungta Mines ordered two high speed rebar mills from Danieli at its Chaliyama plant in Jharkhand. It will be released in the third quarter of 2024.
