The World Steel Association (Worldsteel) has elected the members of its Executive Committee and Executive Board for the 2023-2024 period.
Leon Topalian, President and CEO of Nucor, was elected as the new President of Worldsteel. Leon Topalian, who has also served in the past, was appointed as a member of the Executive Committee.
Worldsteel's new leaders are taking on roles that will shape global developments in the steel industry. Uğur Dalbeler will take important decisions in the Executive Board for one year and will be among the representatives of the steel industry at the international level.
Leon Topalian, the new President of Worldsteel, introduced the management team that will work together during this period. As the international association of the steel industry, Worldsteel will continue to monitor and advance developments in the steel sector.
