According to data released by the World Steel Association (WorldSteel), global crude steel production rose by 3.3% y-o-y to 145.5 million tons in November. China, the largest producer and consumer of the metal, increased its crude steel output by 0.4% to 76.1 million tons in November.
India produced 11.7 million tons of crude steel in the same period, increasing by 11.4%, while Japan produced 7.1 million tons of crude steel, down by 0.9%. The US produced 6.6 million tons of crude steel, up by 6.1%, while Russia produced 6.4 million tons, up by 12.5%. South Korea produced 5.4 million tons of crude steel, up by 11.9%, while Germany produced 2.7 million tons, down by 2.4%.
Türkiye's crude steel production rose by a remarkable 25.4% to 3.0 million tons in November.
