After the Minister of Work and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced the minimum wage for the new year as 17,002 TL, the cost of the minimum wage to employers became a matter of curiosity.

The minimum wage support will be 700 TL out of this amount, which will be valid throughout the year. Türk-İş Chairman Ergün Atalay emphasized that their expectations are 18,000 TL and two raises per year.

Minister Vedat Işıkhan shared the details of the new minimum wage with the public. Of the gross minimum wage of 20,002.50 TL, 17,002.12 TL is the net minimum wage, 2,800.35 TL is the SSI premium and 200.03 TL is the unemployment insurance premium.

When 3,100.39 TL SGK premium (employer's share) and 400.05 TL employer's unemployment insurance premium items are added to the minimum wage, the monthly cost of the new minimum wage to the employer for a worker is determined as 23,502.94 TL.

As the new minimum wage creates a picture in which the balance between employers and employees is taken into consideration, the impact of these figures on the business world will be assessed in more detail in the coming days.
