Day 1 - Thursday, May 15, 2025
Opening Speech
Cem Öztüre, Founder of SteelRadar, and Dr. Veysel Yayan, Secretary General of the Turkish Steel Producers Association, will make assessments on the macroeconomic outlook and future development trends of the Turkish steel industry. They will also share their forecasts and strategic expectations for 2025 with the attendees.
Scrap Panel
Global trade balances, the impact of the energy transition on the scrap market and the impact of regional developments on scrap supply and demand balances will be discussed. The panel will also discuss how the energy revolution and geopolitical divergences affect the scrap market. The stability of the scrap market in Türkiye, global developments and the impact of deindustrialization processes in China and Europe on scrap demand will also be discussed. Supply and demand balances in the global scrap trade and the strategies of scrap producers to adapt to changing market conditions will also be explored in the panel.
Green Steel Panel
Sustainability processes in the steel industry will be examined in depth within the framework of green transformation, decarbonization targets and innovative technologies. The European Union's regulations on green steel production, measures taken to reduce carbon emissions and the sustainable future of the sector will be discussed. The rising use of hydrogen in steel production and developments in energy efficiency will also be discussed in this session, as well as the obstacles and opportunities in front of green steel production.
Long Products Presentation
This presentation will discuss the domestic market crisis in the long products market, challenges in production processes, export strategies and protection measures in the sector. The opportunities and challenges facing long products producers will be emphasized.

In addition, the reflections of the increase in production in Asia on global steel prices and the impact of these developments on the sector will be analyzed.
Middle East and Africa Markets Panel
Infrastructure projects in the Middle East and Africa and the impact of regional investments on the steel industry will be covered. It will also discuss the impact of environmental policies on regional steel production and how sustainability initiatives in these regions are transforming the steel industry. Opportunities for investors, the future of regional trade and how major projects are shaping the industry will also be discussed.
Flat Steel Panel
A detailed evaluation will be made on domestic market crises, production processes, export strategies and protection measures. There will be a broad discussion on the challenges faced by flat steel producers, especially price fluctuations and demand changes. In addition, strategic measures and innovative solutions regarding international competition and the future of flat steel production will be discussed.
Closing Session
