What changed in the Turkish iron and steel industry in 2022? Who rose and who fell?

The year 2022 saw some notable changes in the ISO 500 ranking of the iron and steel industry in Türkiye. Here is information on the 2021 and 2022 rankings of some iron and steel companies where these changes stand out:

Çağ Çelik, which ranked 330th in 2021, dropped 146 places to 476th in 2022. Çağ Çelik was followed by Ege Çelik Endüstri. Ege Çelik Endüstri ranked 185th in 2021, but dropped to 312th in 2022.

Boy Çelik, which ranked 267th in 2021, fell 106 places to 373rd place.

Gazi Metal, which ranked 150th in 2021, fell 90 places to 240th place.

Mescier Demir went back 88 places and ranked 99th in 2021 and 179th in 2022.

Tufan Endüstri, which ranked 346th in 2021, fell to 407th place in 2022.

Çınar Boru Profil ranked 246th in 2021 and ranked 301st in 2022, down 55 places.

Ranked 303rd in 2021, Ağır Haddecilik dropped 43 places to 346th in 2022.

Öskan Demirircilik ranked 97th in 2021 and 134th in 2022.

Yeşilyurt Demir Çelik, which ranked 65th in 2021, fell 33 places to 98th place.

Ekinciler Demir Çelik, which ranked 72nd in 2021, fell 31 places in 2022 and ranked 103rd.

Companies whose ranks have risen are;

Trino Metal rose 32 places from 258th place in 2021 to 226th place in 2022.

While Has Metal ranked 228th in 2021, it rose 30 places to 198th place in 2022.

Tosyalı Demir Çelik, which ranked 129th in 2021, rose 29 places and ranked 100th in 2022.

Bekaert Izmit Steel company, ranked 393rd in 2021, rose 22 places in 2022 and ranked 371st in 2022.

Nev Saç Metal company, ranked 279th in 2021, rose 21 places and ranked 258th in 2022.

Kocaer Steel Industry, which ranked 102nd in 2021, rose 10 places and ranked 92nd in 2022.

Erdemir Steel Industry, which ranked 69th in 2021, rose 10 places to 59th in 2022.

Çayırova Boru Sanayi, which ranked 220th in 2021, rose 7 places and ranked 213th in 2022.

Borusan Mannesman Pipe Industry rose 5 places from 62nd place in 2021 to 57th place in 2022.

The iron and steel companies in the ISO 500 ranking in 2022 draw attention as a reflection of the changes in the sector. This ranking stands out as an important indicator reflecting the dynamics and competition in the sector.
