According to statistics, Vietnam's steel output in April was 2.17 million tonnes, down 9.66% m-o-m and 26.3% y-o-y, while sales of steel products decreased 8.32% m-o-m and 15.1% y-o-y to 2.03 million tonnes.
In the first four months of this year, Vietnam's steel output decreased 22.4% y-o-y to 8.86 million tonnes and steel sales decreased 23.1% y-o-y to 8.1 million tonnes.
In March, Vietnam's imports of finished steel products increased 55.26% m-o-m and 18.52% y-o-y to 1.3 million tonnes, while exports of finished steel products from Vietnam totalled 874,000 tonnes, up 9.75% m-o-m and down 8.6% y-o-y.
