US wire rod imports increased in August

In August this year, US wire rod imports totaled 89,393 million tons, increasing 25.1% from the previous month and 27.3% from the same month of the previous year.

Imports from Canada totaled 31.041 million tons, from Japan about 17,185 tons, from Egypt about 13,833 tons, from Algeria about 7,783 tons and from Brazil about 7,181 tons.

The value of imports made in this period amounted to 85.7 million dollars.
