US wire rod imports fell in June

In June this year, US wire rod imports fell by 8% on a monthly basis and 27% on an annual basis to 64,100 tons.

Imports from Canada were about 27,600 tons, from Japan about 17,400 tons and from Brazil about 12,000 tons.

The value of imports in this period amounted to approximately USD 67 million, down by 10.1% on a monthly basis and 36.3% on an annual basis.
