In October of this year, US' imports of rebar amounted to about 86,800 tons, a decrease of 20% compared to the previous month and 32% compared to the same month of the previous year.
Among them, imports from Turkey took the largest share with about 53,200 tons, decelerating by 0.19% compared to the previous month and increasing by 16.6% compared to the previous year. Other primary sources of imports include Mexico and Algeria, with volumes of 25,300 tons and 11,000 tons separately.
The value created by these imports during the period in question was approximately US$ 77 million, with a monthly decrease of 7.6% and an annual decrease of 25%.
