The U.S. Department of Commerce reports a notable increase in U.S. exports of hot-dip galvanized sheets for March. Exports totaled 127,977 tonnes, reflecting a 6.2% rise from February and a 4.7% increase from March of the previous year. The financial value of these exports also grew, reaching $176.8 million, compared to $169.2 million in February and $160.8 million a year earlier.
Mexico emerged as the leading destination for these exports, with shipments totaling 70,635 tonnes in March, up from 65,146 tonnes in February and significantly more than the 51,524 tonnes shipped last March. Following Mexico, Canada received 56,295 tonnes.
