The US government's International Trade Review Commission rejected a request for additional tariffs on tin-plated steel products imported from Türkiye. According to the report, the White House's authorized body on trade evaluated the request of US entities but rejected the additional tax request.
The Commission also canceled the US Department of Commerce's decision to impose antidumping duties on tin-plated steel products imported from South Korea, Germany, and Canada. Similarly, it canceled anti-subsidy tariffs on imports from China.
These decisions are noteworthy developments related to former US President Donald Trump's decisions to impose tariffs on imports from these countries due to national security reasons in 2018.
It is important to note that the US will continue to impose a 25% tariff on tin-plated steel products imported from China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Türkiye.
