Although US crude steel production increased by 0.7% on a weekly basis last week, it fell by 5.6% on a y-o-y basis and reached the level of 1.687 million short tons.
Capacity utilization rate decreased on y-o-y
The capacity utilization rate was 75%, with an increase of 0.6% on a weekly basis but a decrease of 6.9% on y-o-y.
In the week ending on April 15, US crude steel production for the year-to-date amounted to 24.97 million tons
The year-to-date production of US crude steel was 24.97 million short tons, and the capacity utilization rate was at the level of 74.4%.
