Recent figures from the US Department of Commerce reveal that exports reached around 73,000 metric tons, marking a 0.7% increase from the prior month and an impressive 14.7% jump compared to the same period last year.
Although the total export value dipped slightly from $89.6 million in August to $86.4 million in September, this figure still surpasses the $78.8 million recorded in September of the previous year, highlighting stronger market conditions year-over-year.
Mexico continued to be the leading destination for US CRC, with imports rising to approximately 58,000 metric tons in September, up from 57,000 metric tons in August and significantly higher than the 47,000 metric tons imported in September 2023. Canada followed closely as the second-largest buyer, bringing in about 14,000 metric tons during the same month.
