According to the State Customs Service, in March 2024, Ukraine's exports of flat-rolled products increased by 8,2% compared to the previous month and amounted to 148,18 thousand tonnes. Compared to March 2023, this figure increased 2,5 times. March export revenue increased by 17,1% compared to February and 2,5 times compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 94,8 million dollars.
In the January-March period, uncoated hot rolled flat products were the most demanded product with 347,22 thousand tonnes exported for 201,9 million dollars, while Poland (44,4%) and Bulgaria (22,5%) were the biggest consumers on a monetary basis.
In addition, 55,23 thousand tonnes of uncoated cold-rolled flat products worth 33,78 million dollars were exported, while Poland (35,5%) and Bulgaria (12,3%) consumed more than 50% of this product type with their shares.
However, exports of flat rolled products with galvanic or other coatings fell by 39,6% in March compared to the previous month, to 4,27 thousand tonnes. This led to a 34,8% drop in revenue from shipments, which totalled 4,42 million dollars. In January-March, a total of 16,51 thousand tonnes of such rolled product were exported for 16,11 million dollars.
