Ukraine has partially restored its steel production since the beginning of the year

According to official statistics, in the January-July period this year Ukraine produced 3.37 million tons of pig iron, which corresponds to 70.1% of the production of similar products in 2022. In fact, while January and February showed a decrease, March-July showed a significant increase and peaked at 603,400 tons in May, up 55.9 percent year on year.

Crude steel production in Ukraine in the first seven months of this year amounted to 71.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to 3.43 million tons.

Finished steel production in Ukraine also peaked at 525,700 tons in July, up 151.2 percent year on year.
