Türkiye's welded pipe exports increased in September

Türkiye's welded pipe exports in September 2023 increased by 9.50% compared to the same month of last year, increasing from 199,709 tonnes to 218,713 tonnes. It recorded an increase of 55.42 per cent compared to August.

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's welded pipe exports in September increased by 9.50% compared to the same month of the previous year and by 55.42% compared to the previous month, reaching 218,713 tonnes.

However, it is also seen that total exports for the January-September period of 2022 was 1,558,352 tonnes and decreased by 10.6% to 1,393,587 tonnes in the same period of this year.

Lowest exports recorded in February

The lowest export figure of this year was 95,679 tonnes in February. After the earthquake disaster, exports reached their highest figure in September. In 2022, the lowest export was 100,320 tonnes in January. The highest export figure was recorded in June with 225,963 tonnes.

The highest export in 5 years is in 2022

Looking at the annual export figures, it is seen that Türkiye's welded pipe exports between 2018 and 2023 were the highest in 2022 with 2,050,493 tonnes and the lowest in 2019 with 1,852,381 tonnes. The export figure for 2023, which was 1,393,587 tonnes in the 9-month period, is expected to reach what level at the end of the year.
