According to the information compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, TÜrkİye's steel bar exports in January 2024 decreased by 13% compared to the same month of the previous year, falling from 330,788 tons to 287,758 tons.
It decreased by 23.4% compared to the previous month, December 2023. In December, 375,873 tons of steel bars were exported.
In January, Türkiye exported the most steel bars to Yemen with 74,504 tons. However, this figure decreased by 9.9% compared to the same period of the previous year. The amount of exports to the USA, which ranks second, was 32,730 tons, and there was a 0.5% decrease in this figure. Exports to Albania increased by 309.1%, from 5,210 tons to 21,313 tons. However, the amount of exports to Israel decreased by 70.1%, from 68,240 tons to 20,394 tons. Northern Cyprus followed Israel with an export figure of 11,135 tons. Exports to Northern Cyprus increased by 31.5%, from 8,466 tons to 11,135 tons.
