According to information compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye’s rebar exports increased by 47% in May 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 206,440 tons to 303,368 tons. On a monthly basis, it recorded an increase of 9.9%.
Total rebar exports for the January-May 2024 period increased by 25% compared to the same period of the previous year, increasing from 1,103,674 tons to 1,379,981 tons.
The country to which Türkiye exported the most rebar in May was Yemen with 94,317 tons, followed by Romania with 21,303 tons, Ethiopia with 16,820 tons, Albania with 15,808 tons, and Syria with 14,698 tons.
