According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) and the Undersecretariat for Customs' preliminary foreign trade data, Türkiye's iron and steel import value in February decreased by 9.71% y/y to USD 1.58 billion.
During the month in question, the import value of iron and steel ranked sixth in the list of products with the highest import value in the country.
The import value of iron and steel decreased by 5.77% y/y to USD 3.46 billion in January-February 2025.
During the month in question, the import value of iron and steel goods ranked 15th in the list of the country's products with the highest import value. In the same month, the import value of iron or steel products decreased by 10.37% to USD 314.70 million compared to the same month of the previous year and increased by 3.53% to 649.47 million tons in January-February period.
