SteelRadar analysts analyzed data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and calculated that Türkiye's flat steel imports in November increased by 34.56% compared to the same month of the previous year, but decreased by 13.01% compared to the previous month to 642,244 tons.
When we look at the total import figure, Türkiye imported a total of 8,099,345 tons of flat steel in the January-November period of 2022, whereas it imported 8,939,261 tons with an increase of 10.37% in the same period of this year.
January-November period of last year witnessed the highest imports in July, while the lowest level was recorded in November. During the same period of this year, the highest imports were recorded in May, followed by the lowest imports in November.
