According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's ferro alloy imports in August 2024 decreased by 26.4% year-on-year, from 54,729 tons to 40,263 tons.
This figure decreased by 43.8% compared to the previous month, July.
Total ferro alloy imports in the January-August period increased by 13.6% year-on-year from 332,859 tons to 378,019 tons.
In the said period, Georgia was the leading country where Türkiye imported the most ferro alloy with 9,149 tons, followed by India with 7,382 tons and Iran with 7,149 tons.
