Turkish Export Products Fair hosted over 5 thousand visitors

The fair, supported by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Commerce, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, is an important platform for re-establishing commercial relations between the two countries. The Saudi Arabian Turkish Export Products Fair was held by the General Secretariat of the Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB) with the coordination of the Ministry of Commerce between 19-21 March 2023 at the Riyadh International Congress and Exhibition Center on an area of ​​approximately 5 thousand square meters

In the fair, which was held with the participation of 100 companies from Turkey, mainly from the industrial products, packaging, home life / furniture, food / agriculture, cosmetics / cleaning, medicine / medical, textile / fashion, building materials and service sectors, and 6 Exporters' Associations, more than 5 thousand visitors were welcomed.

Making an evaluation about the fair, Istanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters' Associations (IMMIB) Coordinator President Adil Pelister said: "We see it as an extremely important step taken for the future of our exports. Our fair was met with great interest by Saudi business people and was very productive. We aim to develop and grow the commercial business volume between the two countries and to increase our cooperation within the framework of Saudi Arabia's 2030 vision. We attach great importance to contributing to the new structuring of Saudi Arabia within the scope of the 2030 vision, increasing the number of Turkish companies and making partnerships. We expect Turkish companies to take part in every field, whether in tourism, construction, chemistry and petrochemistry. Our trade volume with Saudi Arabia reached $6.55 billion in 2022. We hope to exceed these figures this year. We want to increase the cooperation and trade volume between the two countries. I hope that this fair will be beneficial, auspicious and fruitful for both sides.”

Armağan Vurdu, Secretary General of İMMİB, said that within the scope of the Turkish Export Products Fair, which lasted for three days, 6 Exporters' Association General Secretariat and 100 Turkish companies operating in various sectors had the opportunity to promote their products and services and they hosted approximately 5 thousand people at the fair. Expressing that they are pleased with the intense interest of the companies, Vurdu said, “We organized a fair in Saudi Arabia for the first time where only Turkish brands and services were exhibited. We saw that Saudi buyers and importers were satisfied as well as our participating companies. Our work will continue in the months and years to come.”
