Turkish construction machinery manufacturers set global goals for 2025

Turkish construction machinery manufacturers aim to export to more countries in 2025.

Turkish construction machinery manufacturers set global goals for 2025

Ayşe Saraçoğlu, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Construction and Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM), said that the cluster was established in 2007 with 25 companies within OSTİM OSB and has reached 180 manufacturing companies as of today.

Stating that there are many sub-sectors of construction and construction machinery, Saraçoğlu said, “Construction and construction machinery is the third largest sector in the machinery sector. The total exports of our cluster companies are 60% of the sector's exports. Our members export to more than 100 countries. Last year, the export value of industrial and mining machinery was 1.9 billion dollars. In the January-August period, 1.48 billion dollars was reached.”

“We will continue to reach new countries”

Emrah Aksongur, Marketing Manager of Hidromek, one of the Ankara-based construction equipment manufacturers, said that they deliver construction equipment in different product groups to many countries through their extensive dealer network.

Stating that they ranked 159th in the list of Türkiye's top 1000 exporters, Aksongur said, “Our export rate constitutes 50% of our total sales. Today, we export to more than 130 countries. In 2025, we aim to introduce a new product group to the market. In addition, we will continue to expand our sales network abroad and reach new countries.”

Aksongur stated that they established the first technology and R&D center in the construction machinery sector in Türkiye in 2014 and put the second R&D center into operation in 2018.

Stating that they will focus on R&D activities next year to develop autonomous, semi-autonomous, electric and hybrid machines, Aksongur said:

“We are offering most of our new products to the Turkish market for the first time. Türkiye hosts many different field conditions in the same geography. While durability and longevity are expected from our machines in very difficult ground conditions such as mines and marble quarries, efficiency, productivity and low fuel consumption come to the fore in excavation areas. The products we produce by taking all these into consideration are accepted and appreciated in many geographies of the world.”

“We can make designs according to the demands of companies”

Copper Radiator Marketing Manager Onur Baki Çelebi stated that as a company established this year, they produce radiators for all underground and aboveground machinery groups.

Stating that they produce in their facilities in Ankara for domestic and foreign demands, Çelebi said, “We mainly produce radiators for group mining machines. We send products to all over the world, especially Russia, African countries and Turkish states, as well as mines in Türkiye."

Çelebi said that they aim to increase their equity capital by serving all mining companies in Türkiye next year and that they can make special radiator designs according to the demands of the companies.
