Türkiye's wire rod exports decreased in 2023

Türkiye's wire rod exports in the January-April period of 2023 decreased compared to the same period of 2022.
Türkiye's wire rod exports decreased by 21 percent in January of this year compared to January 2022 and fell to 46 thousand 97 tons. In February 2023, Turkey's wire rod exports fell from 92 thousand 573 tons to 50 thousand 278 tons with a decrease of 45 percent compared to February 2022.
Türkiye's wire rod exports fell from 145 thousand 731 tons to 32 thousand 637 tons in March 2023 with a record decrease of 78 percent compared to March of the previous year. In March 2023, it decreased by 35 percent compared to the previous month of the same year.
Wire rod exports in April 2023 are at their lowest level in the first four months, with a record decrease of 72 percent compared to April 2022.

According to these increases, while March was at the highest level in wire rod exports compared to the first four months of 2022, when Türkiye's wire rod exports in the January-April period of 2023 were compared, April was at the lowest level in exports.
Despite this increase in 2022, the record increase in March could not be exceeded in April.
Compared to March 2023, wire rod exports decreased by 18 percent to 26,864 tons in April.
