Exports decreased by 84.41
However, Türkiye's exports of semi-finished products decreased despite the rise in imports. Exports decreased by 84.41% in July compared to the same month of the previous year. From 50,463 tons in July 2022, exports dropped by 84.41% to 7,882 tons in the same month of this year. While this figure was 10,693 tons in June, exports decreased by 26.31% in a one-month period.
This increase in imports and decrease in exports in Türkiye's steel sector stands out as an important development that should be taken into account for the future of the sector.
