Türkiye's HRC exports increased by 101.8% in January-April period

Türkiye's HRC exports in April 2024 increased annually by 164.5% but decreased by 15.5% monthly.

According to the information compiled from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) by SteelRadar analysts, Türkiye's hot-rolled coil (HRC) exports increased by 101.8% in the January-April period. In April 2024, Türkiye's HRC exports increased by 164.5% annually but decreased by 15.5% monthly. Specifically, in April 2024, Türkiye's HRC exports increased by 164.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, increasing from 66,247 tons to 175,192 tons. However, compared to the previous month of March, there was a 15.5% decrease.

The total HRC exports in the January-April period showed a 101.8% increase y/y rising from 325,968 tons to 657,738 tons.

In March, The leading country to which Türkiye exported the most HRC was Spain with 31,155 tons, followed by Egypt with 21,437 tons, Portugal with 20,284 tons, Italy with 18,811 tons and Belgium with 16,570 tons.
