Trade volume between Türkiye and Egypt to reach 10 billion dollars in 2025

Turkish Ambassador to Cairo Salih Mutlu Şen stated that Turkish investments in Egypt are growing rapidly and the trade volume between the two countries is expected to reach 10 billion dollars by the end of 2025.

Türkiye-Egypt B2B meetings were organized in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM). The event was attended by nearly 30 Turkish investors and entrepreneurs from sectors such as textiles, white goods, automotive, agricultural products, chemical products and electrical-electronics, as well as many business people from Egypt.

Trade Volume Will Reach 10 Billion Dollars”

Speaking at the opening session of the event, Ambassador Şen said, “The bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Egypt increased by approximately 1 billion dollars compared to 2023 and reached 8.8 billion dollars in 2024. This year, the trade volume is expected to increase further and reach 10 billion dollars.”

“Turkish Investments Continue to Expand”

Drawing attention to the growth of Turkish investments in Egypt, Şen said, “Turkish investments in Egypt continue to expand and grow. At the meeting with Turkish business people I attended in Istanbul, I learned that Eroğlu Global Holding will launch a new investment of 120 million dollars in the West Kantara Industrial Zone,” he said.

Emphasizing the importance of the Türkiye-Egypt Free Trade Agreement, Ambassador Şen said, “Turkey is one of the few countries where Egypt has a trade surplus. This proves how well the free trade agreement works on a win-win basis.”

“In line with the will of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Egyptian President Abdulfettah al-Sisi, the Turkish and Egyptian economies are moving with a strategic vision of growing and strengthening together,” Şen said, drawing attention to the long-term cooperation goals of the two countries.
