In his statement, Tecdelioğlu emphasized that Turkey has increased its production potential since 2019 and has improved its competence, especially with the ecosystem developed during the pandemic process, and that previously unproduced materials have started to be produced.
Commenting on the increasing capacities with the recent investments in Turkey, Tecdelioğlu said, "Now the goal is to increase our shares in our export markets. For this, sectoral incentives need to be increased. The added value created by the metal sector is very high. Our export figure on a kilogram basis has reached the level of 5 dollars. They are very important sectors for Turkey with their copper, aluminum, stainless steel, casting, hardware and armatures. We need to facilitate access to raw materials. We need to create special energy tariffs for the production of raw materials in Turkey. Why is Turkey doing so well in the iron and steel sector? Because we produce the raw material here and can supply it to the world market at competitive prices. We need to protect our scrap. Because products transformed from scrap will become preferred products due to green transformation. These products will be sold in the category of environmentally friendly products."
