The World Steel Association (worldsteel) continues to publish its current data. Having recently announced the list of the world's top steel producing companies for 2022, the association also announced the top 20 steel producing countries for 2022. According to the data, which covers many commercial activities from steel production to consumption, iron ore to finished products with various graphics, world crude steel production decreased in 2022.

According to the graph, world crude steel production reached its highest level in more than 70 years in 2021, reaching 1 billion 962 million tons of crude steel production.
In 2022, world crude steel production fell to 1 billion 885 million tons.
China, which accounted for 46.8% of world steel production in 2012, will produce 54% of global crude steel production in 2022, multiplying its power to shape the markets.
