At the meeting held by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, it was stated that aggregate supply, capacities, and price stability were discussed.
Şevket Koruç, Chairman of the Aggregate Manufacturers Association, said that one of the issues discussed with the ministry at the meeting was the supply of aggregates.
Koruç said, “The Ministry stated that tenders will be made and works will start in a very short time regarding 250 thousand houses in the first place,” Koruç said, adding that they will send the report they will prepare to the ministry in a few days. Koruç also noted that they will initiate the necessary studies in coordination with the producers in the region in order to avoid problems in the supply of aggregate.
At the meeting, evaluations were made about capacities and price stability.
Yavuz Işık, Chairman of the Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association, stated that capacities and price stability were discussed at the meeting and said that he thought there would be a problem with cement and aggregate in the reconstruction process of the region.
Stating that they will carry out the rebuilding process in a certain coordination with the sector representatives, Işık emphasized that they want the prices to be stable so that the sector representatives can hold the tenders healthily and ensure price stability.
