The Far East and Siberia will soon become the new centers of the copper mining industry, which is geographically expanding. At the same time, only the Udokan development project provides for the construction of a metallurgical enterprise and the production of cathode copper. The marketable products of the remaining enterprises being created are copper concentrate with a lower added value - for export to the Asia-Pacific countries. The development of a non-ferrous metallurgy center in the Far East will be important from a social, political, and economic standpoint.
The commissioning of new deposits will allow Russia to double its production in the near future and enter the top five world producers of mine copper.
