The scope of the order for the supply of scrap and waste ferrous and non-ferrous metals for state needs in 2024 was approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 831 of November 28, 2023, published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
In 2024, it is planned to collect 1.254 million tons of scrap and waste ferrous metals, as well as 20.1 thousand tons of non-ferrous metals. State customers are the state enterprise Belvtormet and its member organizations engaged in the procurement of scrap and waste of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. These organizations will be obliged to conclude contracts with legal entities that produce scrap metal in the course of their business activities, providing for the distribution of the state order on a quarterly basis.
The Ministry of Industry, in cooperation with government bodies, will submit to the Cabinet of Ministers by January 25, 2025 analytical information on the implementation of the state order, as well as reasonable proposals for improving the procedure for accounting, storage, delivery, processing and use of scrap metal.
