The future of mining takes shape in Riyadh

The 4th Future Minerals Forum, one of the world's largest mining events, will be held in Riyadh on 14-16 January 2025. Attracting record interest with 14,000 participants from 133 countries, the forum aims to find solutions to the most important problems of the mining industry on a global scale.

Within the scope of the event, many critical cooperation agreements have been signed so far. Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources focuses on strengthening international cooperation in the mining sector by establishing strategic partnerships with different countries.

Today, an agreement is expected to be signed between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. This co-operation aims to ensure the safe and sustainable supply of critical minerals such as copper, lithium and nickel. It will also support Saudi Arabia's ambition to become a global mining centre, while providing new opportunities for British companies.

The memorandum of understanding signed with France aims to increase bilateral co-operation supporting sustainability and innovation in the mining sector.

The agreement with Zambia provides an important basis for the development of new mining projects and the strengthening of international partnerships.

The strategic partnership with Austria focuses on innovative and sustainable solutions in the mining sector and aims to deepen cooperation between the two countries.

The agreement with Jordan aims to create new cooperation opportunities in the field of efficient use of natural resources and mining.

The memorandum of understanding signed with Djibouti stands out as a step towards strengthening regional partnerships and ensuring economic sustainability in the mining sector.

In addition, an agreement was signed between the Saudi Geological Survey and the Kuwait Earth Sciences Association at the International Mining Conference. This agreement aims to increase geological cooperation, address geological risks and develop mining technologies.

The 4th Future Minerals Forum continues to be an important platform for sectoral transformation and sustainable development by bringing together the leaders of the global mining industry. Through this forum, Saudi Arabia aims to strengthen its international partnerships and become a global centre for mining
