After the completion of the anti-dumping investigation covering the period January 1 – December 31, 2020, the European Commission has decided to impose duties on stainless steel supplies from Russia and Turkey.
The subject of the investigation, which was carried out at the request of the European Steel Industry Association, was rolled steel with galvanized, magnesium, aluminum coatings.
Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant's anti-dumping duty will be 36.6%, Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant's 10.3%, Severstal's 31.3% and the other plants 37.4%.
For MMK's Turkish asset (MMK Metalurji), the duty will be 10.5%, while for other Turkish steelmakers, it will be between 2.4% and 11%.
