The Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation filed a lawsuit against Etalon Company JSC (the parent company of the Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant industrial group, ChEMK) and two individuals - Lyudmila and Yuri Antipova, on the grounds that the company carries out activities that do not comply with the law.
Etalon Company JSC is a company operating in the construction industry. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation alleges that the company has committed various legal violations and fraudulent activities. There are also allegations that the company has engaged in tax evasion and other illegal activities.
The supervisory authority requests shares of three joint-stock companies controlled by the company in favor of the Russian Federation: Serov Ferroalloy Plant JSC, Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant JSC, Kuznetsk Ferroalloys JSC. The supervisory authority requests to delete the shares of these companies from the account of JSC Etalon.
Simultaneously with the statement of claim, the plaintiff declared the need to secure the claim in the form of seizure of movable and immovable property and shares of the said companies, as well as to prohibit the management bodies of the above-mentioned legal entities from carrying out these actions.
Etalon Company JSC rejects the accusations. The company claims that it is operating lawfully and that the accusations are false.
The outcome of the case is not yet clear and the court process continues.
