According to the statement made by TMSF, after the positive opinions of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), TMSF Fund Board made its final decision.
Accordingly, the transfer of Türk Ticaret Bankası to İGE, which is jointly owned by 20 banks from the private sector and the public sector, along with the Turkish Exporters Assembly, exporter associations, and the Turkish Eximbank, was deemed appropriate.
Founded in 1913 and decided to be liquidated by the BDDK in 2001 by revoking its banking license, Türk Ticaret Bankası has been reclaimed for the Turkish economy through the intensive efforts of TMSF for years.
Türk Ticaret Bankası, which is among the oldest banks in Turkey, will serve the financing and banking needs of exporters.
In the sales auction opened by TMSF, three participants competed and İGE submitted the highest bid in the auction with a price of 455 million TL.
