Eurosteel 2023 aims to present the latest research results of academics and practitioners on the use of steel and composite structures in structural applications, with the overall objective of promoting and ensuring a more sustainable construction industry. The conference will feature traditional paper presentations, keynotes by invited speakers, and multiple discussions addressing the latest technologies and future challenges.
The conference will address the topic of "Sustainability policy and research" and invite keynote speakers to convey the importance of policy documents for the future research and development of the construction industry. Prominent practitioners and researchers will be invited to give short talks at the conference, paving the way for productive Dialogue on stage and with participants.
As stated in the programme, we expect 10 parallel sessions per day, but two sessions on the first day will definitely attract more practitioners: “Steel reuse” and “The Impact of New Eurocodes”.
The latest developments in the analysis and design of new and traditional steel and steel-based composite structures for a wide variety of applications such as buildings, bridges, towers, support structures for renewable energy and offshore structures will be presented.
Complementing more traditional topics, a particular focus of this event will be emerging technologies and new approaches to further increase the environmental sustainability and economics of structural solutions in steel.
