Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Trade has extended anti-dumping duties on hot plate imports from three countries - Iran, Brazil and Turkey - for up to 5 years to protect its domestic market from cheap imports. These anti-dumping duties, which were first imposed in May 2017, will be extended for another 5 years from May 2023. The duties on Erdemir and Çolakoğlu, two of Turkey's largest steel producers, were 27.27 per cent and 6.86 per cent, respectively, while for other Turkish producers they were set at 28.23 per cent.
The customs duty imposed by Thailand on Hrc imports from Iran Mobarakeh Steel was 7.25 per cent, while it was 38.27 per cent for other Iranian producers.
The anti-dumping tariffs applied to hot plate imports from three countries, namely Iran, Turkey and Brazil, are as follows.
