Iranian forces seized a Portuguese-flagged cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz, which Iranian media claimed was connected to Israel. In this action, Iranian forces boarded a helicopter and entered this ship.
In response to this incident, the spokesman of the National Security Council of the White House demanded that Iran release the ship and its crew immediately.
A few hours ago, Israel's foreign minister accused the ship of "piracy" in response to the seizure.
Also, following the warning of western countries to their citizens to refrain from traveling to the Middle East, Canada's foreign minister also asked his compatriots not to travel to Iran and Israel.
Also, the Dutch airline KLM announced on Saturday that it will stop flying its planes over Iran and Israel as a precautionary measure.
Previously, German airline Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines and Air France had also canceled their flights to Iran or changed their flight routes.
Jordan announced on Saturday evening that it will temporarily close its airspace to all incoming and outgoing flights.
