Wire rod suppliers in Taiwan are expected to keep carbon steel and stainless steel wire rod prices unchanged in June. This forecast comes as market participants expect prices to remain unchanged from May as a result of sluggish sales and supply activity.
Some carbon steel wire rod producers have reported consistently low sales since April. The drop in shipments in April can be attributed to the global economic downturn and the cautious approach adopted by most market participants. However, the market is expected to recover in the third quarter and experience the peak season in the fourth quarter.
