According to the statistics received, Taiwan's scrap imports amounted to about 233,000 tons in February this year, an increase of 23% compared to the previous month.
Among them, the US was Taiwan's largest source of scrap imports, supplying approximately 97,900 tons of scrap, up 20% month on month. Japan was second with 63,700 tons, followed by Australia with 18,100 tons and the Dominican Republic with 15,000 tons.
In terms of exports, Taiwan exported about 2,100 tons of scrap in February, down 7% m-o-m. India was the largest buyer, importing 1,008 tons of scrap from Taiwan.
