Taiwan's hot rolled coil imports are on the rise

According to statistics, Taiwan's hot rolled coil (HRC) imports amounted to approximately 55,000 tons in August 2023. This import increased by 73% compared to July 2023 and reached its highest level.

While imports from China rank first with approximately 30,000 tons; South Korea ranks second with 10,500 tons and Japan ranks third with 9,800 tons.

The increase in import volumes of South Korea and Japan is known as the main reason for the increase in imports in August 2023.
