Taiwanese CSC's production costs are forecast to increase

Taiwanese CSC's production costs are forecast to increase

Taiwan's electricity prices were planned to be increased by 17% for industrial users who use high and ultra-high voltage. China Steel Corporation (CSC), Taiwan's largest carbon steel producer, announced that it purchased about 2.8 billion kWh of electricity last year. Initially, it was estimated that the annual electricity cost would increase by NT$1.247 billion depending on the actual electricity price adjustment.

CSC said it will do energy-saving work such as using non-intensive power, using high-efficiency equipment, improving energy management and delivering smart applications. Market participants believed that the reclaimed order intake would offset the costs of rising electricity prices.
