In July, CSC decided to keep the prices of all products unchanged. These products include hot rolled plate/coil, hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil, electro galvanized (EG) steel coil, hot dipped galvanized steel coil for construction and pre-painting, and electric steel (ES) coil.
In the third quarter, prices for SM570 and other steel plates will increase by NTD500 (about USD16.30) per ton, while prices for automobile materials will increase by NTD800 (about USD26) per ton. Prices for all other steel products will remain stable.
According to CSC, the global economy is showing signs of moderate recovery, but the company faces challenges due to changes in demand and the global trade environment in the third quarter of the year. These changes include the US increasing tariffs on China, the introduction of new European Steel Safeguard measures and adjustments to the cross-strait Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA).
Assessing current market conditions and demand in various sectors for the third quarter, CSC aims to stabilize customers' purchasing costs and help them secure orders by keeping most steel product prices stable with increases only for certain products.
