SteelRadar data compiled by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) indicated that Türkiye's steel bar exports in March 2024 increased by 2.1% compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 240,378 tons to 245,500 tons.
The figure decreased by 24.6% compared to the previous month, February.
In the January-March period, total steel bar exports increased by 6.9% compared to the same period of the previous year, rising from 803,791 tons to 859,005 tons.
The leading country to which Türkiye exported steel bars in March was Yemen with 41,016.4 tons, followed by Romania with 36,023.4 tons, Albania with 23,847.5 tons, Israel with 15,569.6 tons and Panama with 14,084.8 tons.
