According to the statistics of the Spanish Steel Association (UNESID), Spain's steel production in October was 979,000 tons, falling 3.6 percent month on month and 24.0 percent year on year.
From January to October this year, the country's steel production was 9.98 million tons.
In October, the Spanish steel industry recycled 863,000 tons of scrap steel for the production of new steel products, rising 10.9 percent month on month and down 16.0 percent year on year.
A total of 7.63 million tons of steel scrap was recycled in the first ten months of this year.
