According to the World Steel Association (Worldsteel), South Korea's crude steel production in November decreased by 3.7% compared to the previous month, falling to 5.2 million tons. Production also decreased by 3.6% compared to the same month last year.
In the January-November period of 2024, South Korea's total crude steel production decreased by 4.9% compared to the same period last year, reaching 58.3 million tons.
With this production amount, South Korea maintained its 6th place in the world rankings. Although production has decreased in the last two months, the production gap with Russia in the first half of the year has narrowed significantly in recent months.
