Severstal's CEO Alexander Shevelev stated that this investment project, worth 97 billion rubles, is the company's most important and largest investment. As part of the project, the main technological equipment will be supplied for the construction of the complex, which will produce 10 million tons of iron ore pellets per year. These equipment will play a critical role in production processes such as grinding iron ore materials, mixing and pelletizing the prepared charge, roasting and separating the finished product.

Another goal of the investment project is to increase environmental sustainability. The project will help the company achieve its environmental goals through technological changes in the reduction of atmospheric pollutants and decarbonization. Alexander Shevelev emphasized that the best technologies will be used in the construction of this complex and solutions will be offered to ensure environmental safety and effective environmental protection.

The first deliveries of the equipment are planned to be made in the 4th quarter of 2024. While preparatory work is currently ongoing at the site, construction of the new workshop is expected to begin in January 2024. This project stands out as an important step within the framework of Severstal's environmentally friendly production strategy.
