The Russian Federation's Ministry of Industry and Trade predicts the country will produce 74–75 million tons of steel in 2023, an increase of 4-5% over the previous year.
According to the results of the first quarter, steel production is almost at the level of the record year 2021 - 18.7 million tons.
"At the end of the year, if we continue in the same spirit, we will reach 74-75 million tons, that is, 4-5% more than last year," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
